did i just waste 50 dollars ????

so i just baught a mxr super comp used for 50 bucks at my local trading musician, a relatively good music store

now... i plug it in the second i get home and i found no difference between the polar opposites on the nobs, its frustrating me!!

maybe i just don't know how to use compressors?

please help?

i didn't even have it switched on

Now you know the first rule of troubleshooting effects chains. Assume you were stupid somewhere in your setup, rule that out first.
