I'm considering picking one up, but I haven't heard anything about it's sound, aside from being pointed to Shellac's records. Search got me nothing...
Has anyone else gotten their hands on this pedal yet, or am I going to have to take one for the team? |

I would have done it myself except (a) I can't spare the $$ for a dirt box right now, and (b) I'm not set up to record soundclips right now. But I do want to hear this thing! And yes, I do mean hear the actual pedal, with no additional processing (e.g. tube amp), and not just "listen to a Shellac record". |

The builder (David) told me back on Oct 3rd that it will be about 4-5 weeks, so it should be here soon (I hope). He's a one-man operation so it takes some time to get one.
Just an FWI, from the Electrical Audio forum:
"That's it folks... I think we're out of Rusty Boxes officially until we make another batch.
We hope to have them ready to ship starting sometime early in the new year."
From talking to David, after mine ships that is officially the last batch. If anyone wants one it may be a while. I bought mine strictly as Bongo said, "taking one for the team". My curiosity was killing me plus I liked the Weston tone. Hopefully I like/have some use for it, or it will end up in the classifieds!

My Rusty Box will be going out tomorrow, so it should arrive to me soon. Once I have it, I'll try to do some clips.

and to clarify some things...
that is a jaguar bass, yes? were you using it in active or passive mode?
also, it's hard to tell, where was your hi/lo switch set?
