| I have the regular NYC Big Muff Pi. I really like the sound of the pedal when sustain is pumped and tone is rolled back far (this is the typical Big Muff sound) but you lose a lot of clarity, notes played too close together become almost indescernable and its better for use in droning out notes rather than playing at any high speed. But you can turn the sustain back some and the tone up some (just not too much or you get low end loss) to get a useable tone. I have never tried the Bass Big Muff though so I have no idea about that.
