first of all i'm not sure if there are any digital od's on the market but if there are, how would it sound going through an analog fuzz like a muff or fuzz face? im going for a new ound not a ''studio'' sound.

There are, but if you're looking for a "new sound" (that's what you meant, right?) I'd go for something that hasn't without a doubt been done to death by bedroom rockers across the world.

Other than that, have you spent much time with Fuzz Faces? They don't generally sound too good with anything in front of them that's not a wah... not to mention that multiple filtering is really offensive to some ears. I mean, if you're the dude from Lightning Bolt that's one thing, but most of us aren't .

You have to be careful when mixing digital and analogue effects or you could accidentally the whole pedal board.

Well, if any of us knew what it sounded like, then it wouldn't exactly be a new sound! hehe.. Im not really sure how to answer the question other than it would sound like a digital od going through a fuzz.. To generalize, it would be like an analog od through a fuzz, but maybe a bit colder and/or harsher. Is this hypothetical od a light overdrive with a little hair, a fuzzy overdrive, crunchy/bordering on distortion- od? Whatever it is, it would sound somewhat similar to the analog counterpart which it emulates.

What do you imagine a "digital od" even sounds like? Why do you think it would matter if it was going into an analog fuzz? It's not like the digitalness and the analogness would do anything remarkable.

Forget this Digital OD as ground breaking, it isn't at all. Now If you want REAL digital distortion the you can run into a fuzz to make up some sick stuff look into getting or making a bitcrusher, much more useful and evil.

No if you still want to know what it would sound like just find a Pod [] and run it into a fuzz and there you have it in all it's boringness.
