digitech bass distortion

i got a digitech bass distortion pedal. the xbd or something.
its red anyhow.

I got a brand new battery for it.
the led blinked 3 times, powering up, and then nothing.
pulled the battery out. put it in again, and it worked. Then i switched it off, and it wouldnt turn on again. Pulled the battery out, left it for a bit, put it in, and it worked for a couple of minutes and stopped.
So, getting annoyed, I took the battery out of my sb7 which is a cheap aldi brand battery. It works fine now. Its odd. The aldi battery cost me about $3, where as the other battery was a energizer lithium battery, made for high drain devices, and it was like $11 .
Aldi batteries are the 9 volt batteries i'm getting from now on.

By the way, love the peadal. The distortion range is excellent on it.

battery issues. its funny how you can get something expensive, but it wont work sometimes. But yeah, it is kinda pointless. seemed more important when i posted it, lol.

I too dig the digitech bass driver. it is my first bass distortion pedal and I dig it for it's fizzy metallic sounds. It also sound totally awesome when I combine it with my hartke bass attack pedal. I got a pretty killer sound with this combination.

If you're having battery issues, you should by an ac adaptor like the visual sounds 1-spot ac adaptor. the digitech bass driver does eat up batteries like french fries. if you purchase an ac adaptor, you won't have to worry about wasting money on buying a lot of 9-volt batteries.
