Sign in to disble this ad
weird question but dies the digitech bass synth wah have wah in all its settings? i heard some demos where it has an octave down w/o wah, which is awesome to know but, wanted to know if this was the only setting without wah able to be set?

all the utube videos have the demos with lots of wah which ya, of course itll have but i wanted to hear the more synth parts and hopefully with no wah

All of the sounds are filter based, so not really except for mode 7 which offers separate volume for the synth and octave.

You can grab one of these things for about 60 bucks. I have one. It's not a sound you use on every song, but it's a pretty versatile pedal. I'm not sure if the wah is present in every setting though. You have quite a lot of play with each setting to dial in our out most of the sounds you don't like. I said 'most'. The pedal can be quirky at times. But like I said, for 60 bucks, it's worth grabbing one and tweaking with it yourself.

It seems like it has a lot of good sounds and a lot of cheesy sounds I can imagine using. I was likin the more synthy settings since they sound to have a gated type of fuzz...which I was after too in this pedal. Wish guitar center would carry bass pedals, all they have are guitar ones

I only use 1, 2 possibly 7, the wacky synth sounds would be for a special need that I don't really have.

I really have a love/hate relationship with this pedal, mostly hate. For some reason though, I can't bring myself to let it go. The only setting I use is the filter that sounds like "Ayeeee Ayeeee" sung by a death metal guy with distortion on the end. I only use it as a joke....

Oddly enough, I use the BSW mostly as an octaver (type 7, sens and range at minimum, control 11 am). Does it for me, 'cause its not an effect I use a lot.

Sometimes, I'll use auto-wah type settings: type 1 or 2, sens 10 am, control 2 pm, range anywhere between 11 am and 1 pm.

I've also used this pedal looped in a Boss LS-2 with a Boss BF-3 on gate settings to create a mock sequencer sound. I think I had it on type 3 with everyhing at minimum, apart from control at 11 am.

I agree with the guys saying that this is a wacky/cheesy pedal with a somewhat limited settings really usable in a band context.

My take on this pedal is that its a rather versatile thing, useful on a smaller pedalboard.

FWIW

U think that setting would be enough to use as a fuzz pedal replacement ?

Nope. But the BSW sounds pretty cool with a good fuzz pedal.
