Question Digitech Bass Whammy Detune Function.. anyone have the original manual?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have recently purchased the M13-which i am very happy with by the way. It is capable of producing all the Whammy sounds via the "Pitch Glide" which you set with semitones..

I am curious how many cents the detune function on the bass whammy sets each note off. and now that i think about it.. not only how many but which way?

So if anyone with the original manual wouldnt mind looking in the "specs" section and seeing how many cents the signal is offset in detune mode, I would appreciate it very much.

I know in the modern whammy pedal in production the offset is -4 cents (-.04 semitones) in shallow mode, and -30 (-.3 semitones) in deep.

Thanks,
-Sam

I thought the pitch glide patch only did chromatic scale intervals?

Yes and no.

7.0 is a 5th, 12.0 is an octave, etc. However you can pick something like 7.4 or 12.1 for a slight detune. I'm not sure how that will equate to cents.

Oh yeah I'd forgotten about that! It's well annoying when you're trying to dial in a harmony.
