DigiTech BP-200 Power Supply

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi Folks,

I'm new to the forums and I'm enjoying all the great bass information.

I have a DigiTech BP-200 with a dead power supply. I checked it with a voltmeter to confirm its passing. I tried a universal power supply, Fuson, 9V, 1.5A and it powers the BP200 but I'm not getting any output from it.

Do I have to replace the power supply with an identical unit from DigitTech (PS0913B-120)? Does have to match the 1.3A exactly?

At this point I need to figure out if there is something wrong with the pedal itself but I just thought I would post here and to see if there are any other BP200 users that have gone through a power supply issue.

Cheers,

Is your new power suppply 9V AC or DC?

If I recall correctly, my BigPoo200 uses a 9V AC power supply.

It is good if it's slightly above the Ampage rating.

Dooh, you're right, I missed that. The new power supply I bought from the source is DC and it needs to be AC. I hope I didn't fry anything in the pedal. It did light up so some juice was getting through. lol.

You're pretty lucky you didn't fry something there.

Take care next time, you're very welcome.

Happy ending. Tracked down the proper power supply from a local music store (that finally got some in stock) and all is well. I guess when the Canada Post "lock out" is over I'll get the other one I ordered from eBay and I'll have a backup.
