Digitech BP90?

Anyone own this pedal? I was thinking about buying it. I figure its a good way to get a lot of effects on the cheap. But will it be a case of you get what you pay for?

The digitech bp90 is actually pretty decent. it's got some good effects, amp and cab models. here's a youtube clip of the digitech bp90.

If you want more variety of effects, amp and cab models, check out the digitech bp355. I have sound samples of the digitech bp355 on my soundclick website. here's the link.

Feel free to check it out.

I had the bp200 and the sound was ok, but I hated the layout and controls.

I was never a fan of the sound of my Digitech multi. I would recommend any other manufacturer over them.

Owned the bp90 and the bp355... they made me lose faith in digitech. I've owned several guitar and bass digitech products over the years and the build quality and features aren't getting any better. Definitely go try before you buy but also consider the zoom products like the b3 and the new multi stomp if you're looking for great sounding multis. I dug the zoom for a while but then decided to sell it to play around in analog land where I've been much happier.

I've had one too. personally, I think it's suitable for beginners. the digitech bp355 would be a much better choice considering that it has a large variety of effects, amp and cab models.

I got the BP80 which I suppose the BP90 replaced, but if they are similar it is a ok practice tool, idea recording etc. But I felt that with high volume (rehearsal level) it deteriate the tone (and feels flimsy).

I would however recommend the VOX stomplab bass (I and II) for approx the same money a BP90 would set you back. Sounds good and build quality is good. The wha-pedal of the II-version is however really small. Suits my 3 year old daughters feet. But it actually works ok for me due to the height of the unit.

Good luck!

I've been wondering about the vox stomplab for a while. I was going to purchase one out of curiosity, but I plan to buy a digitech bp355 once again since I was given requests to post new patch ideas on a thread I've started where I've post patch ideas for the digitech bp355. maybe I will buy a vox stomplab sometime soon and see how it is. and perhaps post sound samples of it on my soundclick website. I have recorded sound samples of many different multi-effects processors over the years to help out talkbass members to hear how certain multi-effects processors sounds. and I have also started threads on patch ideas for the zoom b3 and the digitech bp355. pretty soon I will be purchasing a digitech bp355 real soon and I will be posting more patch ideas and post more sound samples on my soundclick website.
