Digitech BP90 multi-effects

Anyone have this thing? I was browsing GC for effects, and an employee pointed me towards this thing. It's a seemingly awesome multi-effects pedal for only $100. I'm not sure if this feature is common, but you can plug in headphones and bass to use it without an amp, which is pretty sweet! Would anyone recommend this?

Not knowing your budget, but I would spend another 100 and invest in the Digitech BP355. There are unlimited tone possibilities within this unit. You get a looper (20sec) but you can do overdubs with it. You can use heaphones as well. Check out some You tube clips on it as well. I am in the process of putting together a series of clips that will explain the functions a well as creating some wicked tones.
This thing is built solid.

Nice, I think I might be able to get a good deal on that used for the same price as the BP90. That's be great. But do you think I should invest a few pedals instead, rather? I've heard that they're better in the long run.

I have the Digitech BP200. For me, it's just OK. I like it, but I haven't found one effect that I like better then individual pedals. That said, it has a lot of capabilities and I haven't played with it as much as I probably should have though. I only use the drum machine from time to time now. Honestly, if you're on a budget, it's not bad but I would go used.

Ok, Tupac...heres my advice. Buy a BP355 and then see if you think you need to add any pedals. And honestly, the only pedal I would add is another BP355. By the time you start adding pedals, you are going to be looking at another 150 to 200 bucks. Not saying that the BP355 is the greatest thing since corncob holders (HUH?) but with the effect models and amps this thing kicks some real butt. I have filled all user presets, but am consistently tweaking the tones.

Even if you buy one at GC, they give you 30 days to return it if you dont like it, but trust me, this thing is sweet.

I agree with bassAsAHobby, the digitech bp355 is a much better choice. it has a large variety of effects, amp and cab models. I ordered my BP355 yesterday and can't wait for it to arrive.
We play mainly classic rock covers but we have no rhythm guitarist so I am hoping to expand my sound a bit for when the guitarist is soloing.
Any ideas for a patch that sounds like Phil Lynott on "Dancing In The Moonlight"?

Thanks maggsybass. I actually no longer own a digitech bp355, but I think to get that phil lynott sound like in the song dancing in the moonlight, an ampeg svt model with an acoutic 1x15 cab model, a bright eq, and a phaser might do the trick. perhaps this might help.

Anytime, dude. you can make some changes for this patch if you want. like I've mentioned before, I no longer own a digitech bp355, but hopefully this patch will help you out.
