Question Digitech "Factory" Pedals on Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys I was just curious if any of you have ever used or even have the digitech factory pedals (CF7 - Chorus, DF-7 - Distortion) with bass. They've sparked my interest and as I know that they are only $100 pedals I'm sure the simulations of the pedals they are supposed to mimic can only go to a certain extent but I was wondering if anyone has had some good experiences (or bad) with them?

I have an Expression Factory (it's for sale in the effects section of the forum). I was really impressed with it. I haven't tried the other "factories", but I can tell you the modeled effects of the expression factory are quite good, and there are a ton of effects in one pedal. I think it is a good value, especially if you want to try a multi effect and don't have a lot of room on your pedalboard.

Try a keyword search for the word "factory." Hopefully someone has tried the models you are interested in.

I actually did a search after this thread and saw alot of the digitech factory pedals on sale... this kind of discourages me alittle but I'll probably look into it more. I run a tight budget when it comes to pedals. I don't have any experience with digitech single effects pedals actually in general but have a multi for guitar which has served me useful. Thanks for the advice.

I've had a Digidelay in the past. I thought it sounded quite good, and has a good feature set. It seemed well-built too. My Expression factory is built like a tank.

Hopefully someone will comment that has experience with the "factory" pedals you are interested in.

I played around with an EX-7 a few weeks ago at guitar center. It sounded really cool, especially the Whammy and Space Station models (Although some of the distortions didn't seem terribly useful on bass) and tracked well on the Whammy model down to A. I've toyed with picking one of them up but I'm a little tight for cash right now, so I'll have to wait.

I'm sad because my local guitar center which isn't even really that local only has the EX-7 and doesn't even stock on the Distortion or Chorus so theirs no real way to be able to try it out. I messed around with the boss CE-5 and really enjoy the tone on the D and G string but thought it was lack lusting on E and A without the rate turned close to 3/4's...
