Digitech IPB-10..... For bass? Yup!

My wife gave me this unit for Christmas... The heavily advertised one that you slap an IPod into.

In any case, it sounds incredible with guitar (even thru my bass rig) but is pretty damned cool with bass.

Lots of COOL tones (synth-y, overdriven, etc.). Not something you would likely use on gigs for every song, but man is this fun to play with!

Anyone else try this with bass?

Wow! NOBODY out there has tried this thing?

I have been playing around with this for a couple of days and it kills with bass.

Sound clips to come.....

I think its a cool FX board but its $499 just for the board without an iPad.
iPB-10($499) + iPad($500) = about $1,000 too expensive for me but I'm sure its awesome.

I agree it's a cool idea, but most of the ipad owning guitarists I know (myself included) have their iPad on a music stand or iKlip on mic stand for notes, scores, chord sheets, lyrics etc. This would mean you'd need another one for the pedal board.

The iPad is not required to use the IPB-10. Once presets are set, you can leave the iPad at home. The only thing you would lose is the ability to tweak individual pedals.

I just took delivery on my iPB-10 and will report back.

What effects and models do you achieve good bass sounds with? I'd LOVE for Digitech to issue a software update with bass amp models!

P.S. - according to a Digitech rep, bass amp models are on the way!
