Digitech jamman can't record by touch??

Now the rc2 has a feature where it will automatically start recording then you tap pedal to start loop point.. It seems like with the jam man solo I got i need to tap and play simultaneously to start recording....

There is no way to setup the jam to start recording automatically when I start playing..?? It's difficult for me to sync up pressing down the pedal while starting the recording

Press the little button that says "Auto Record" so an LED lights up on the button. When you press the play button it will record once it hears your playing.

That should be in the instructions.

Did you buy the accessory pedal for it? I ended up making one, out of about $8 worth of parts from radio shack and a DC brick (casing) from a laptop power supply. The "auto record" function on the footswitch, works as the touch tempo on the Solo, so I think it's slightly different on the older one.

Which Jamman are you talking about? There are three versions of them out there now, four if the delay looper version is out too.

I think he's referring to the "Solo", which I have too. I don't think there is an auto record function on this one.

It can only help your timing. I understand that auto record is a valuable tool, but the timing to synchronize is a valuable skill that will cross over to a lot of other musical activities.

Man up
