Digitech PDS 1002...What gives?!??

I currently have a PDS 1002 that I am not really feeling. Don't get me wrong, the possibilities with this thing are endless; adding to the fact that you can get an entire 2 sec of delay infinately, I would say that it is pretty close to being a loop pedal. The problem that I am having is the fidelity of this thing. It seems as if when I activate it someone throws a wet towel in front of my speaker cabinet. Is that inherant to this pedal? I am really considering grabbing a Carbon Copy!!! Someone let me know 1. If I am alone in this and 2. if there is some way to enhance my tone with this thing.

Yeah it's a fairly lofi pedal, part of it's charm personally, it's warm in a completely different way to an analog pedal.

I'm not too sure I can live with how it affects my sound. I will chug along for a bit longer possibly to see if I can adjust.

You should be able to trade it for something a bit more crystal clear they use to be quite sought after, especially on places like HCFX
