I just picked up a digitech synth wah(not the bass synth wah) and it sounds like a** on through my bass. I played it through my guitar and it works fine. Why doesnt this work with my bass(i play a stingray) is the signal to hot for it?

It isn't optimised for bass frequencies, so you are getting sounds designed to sound good on a guitar. If you want to use it for bass, get the Bass Synth Wah. There is a reason that there are two versions...

It's just not voiced for low frequencies.
