Hey guys just wondering if you could help me, I'm looking to get a chorus pedal, and I'm split between the Boss CEB-3 and the Digitech XBC X-Series Bass Multi Chorus Pedal. they are about the same price, but thats about all i know about each. If you guys could help me decide which one is best that would be awesome.
Cheers

I own the digitech bass multi-chorus, and it's ok. I'm not a huge chorus fan, but it works for what I need it to. |

Very versatile chorus - does pretty much everything from light shimmer to Duffesque wobble

I tried both the CEB-3 and the CE-5, and I think the CEB-3 is way better for bass. People always say that the CEB-3 is too subtle, and not as lush as the CE-5, but if you crank the depth on the CEB-3, it gets very warbly and deep. The CE-5 does go deeper, but to me it gets so out-of-tune as to be unusable after about 2 o'clock, so what's the point of all that extra depth? Plus, I think that the low filter on the CEB-3 is WAY better than the CE-5. So, if you want to pass your low freq's through without chorus, the CEB-3 is much better at this.
No opinion on the Digitech, haven't tried it.

if i were you id also try the boss BF-3 thats the one i plan on buying next and it will replace my digi multichorus it gets a far better sound |

No opinion on the Digitech, haven't tried it. | i'm starting to wonder if it's dependent on the bass you use it with. i'm one of the CE-5 people. i love that pedal (sold it because i don't use chorus anymore though). i owned both the CEB-3 and CE-5 and the CE-5 blew it out of the water. it's so much deeper and bassy, without getting too detuned and unusable on any setting. the CEB-3 seemed paper thin and a little bit too subtle. i used an ibanez ATK300 for both tests.
maybe i just love thick juicy choruses a bit more than thinner ones, or something. |

I wouldn't touch any digitech pedal other than the Whammy though

Thanks heaps for the advice and i think i will go for the boss, been talking to a few other people and bout 85% of them say the boss CEB-3 is much better then the digitech.
Cheers everyone
