they couldn't reissue the bass whammy... Quote:
After 20 years of saving guitarists, shows, and recordings everywhere from the horrors of tremolo tails and whammy bars that spontaneously retune instruments, DigiTech has released an extremely limited edition 20th Anniversary Chrome Whammy pedal. Just like the original Whammy pedal that shook up the guitar world originally, the 20th Anniversary Chrome Whammy packs a whole bag of tricks. First off, the 20th Anniversary Chrome Whammy delivers the same incredible effects and functions that made the original a must have for guitarists. You get the same hair-raising "dive bomb" effects, gripping pitch bends and lightning harmony shifts, just to name a few.
Full MIDI connectivity allows you to hook the 20th Anniversary Chrome Whammy up to any MIDI deice and send or receive pitch-bend information. This beautiful version of the Whammy is fully chrome plated, hand hand numbered, and hand signed. Add it to your pedalboard and spice up your stage presence, or keep it mint and hold on to your 20th Anniversary Chrome Whammy for the collectable value it will gain in time. No matter what, don't hesitate! There won't be a lot of 20th Anniversary Chrome Whammys available, so get yours today!

I don't get it, either.

That being said, it looks kinda neato, and I love the Whammy. This just isn't for me, though.

But...they reissue an "extremely limited edition" original Whammy? |

But seeing as there isn't any cool changes to it, I settled down. |

Its kinda pretty, in a shiny dipped in chrome 38 super kinda way! It needs a mother of pearl knob and blue led lights.
I think I'll spend that $90 extra and put it toward pitchfactor instead. |

The WH-4 is typically red, and I'm trying to trade some pedals for one. I think this one should sound more like the WH-1, and have all of the features of every Whammy model. Then, and only then, can I justify the price tag.
