i found one of these nearby on craigslist for cheap (it, a boss bf-3 and ph-3 all for $150), and im thinking of jumping on the deal. one question though: it says in the manual only to use the included power supply, which is a 9-volt power supply. i know that there are some pedals that arent too friendly with other power supplies, but can i use the xp-100 with my 1-spot power supply?

I've tried to do that with mine when I forgot his power supply before a rehearsal and it just didn't work

No. The XP-100 requires AC, a 1Spot puts out DC. Also the barrels are different sizes.

No. You have to make sure you have the correct barrel size, polarity and have enough amperage to sufficiently power it. The power supply is 1300mA. For reference, a standard Boss power supply is only 200mA.
