Dimensions Of Fulltone Bass-Drive Mosfet?

Sign in to disble this ad
Sorry, I can't find this online anywhere- can someone give me the dimensions? Also, does it run on 9v or 18v? The Fulltone site is sparse on the details, but they make it sound like it can run on either.

It can run on any voltage from 9-18 volts so long as its a negative center pin.

I'll go get my pedal to get you the dimensions.

Thanks. Cool to know it runs 9-18v....I was hoping I wouldn't have to use up two Pedal Power spaces to power it, and I can still boost the voltage a bit by setting a 9v socket to 12v.

Your welcome. I prefer to run this thing at 18V, though you get different sounds at different voltages. I'll let the wiser heads of the fx forum tell you why, since I honestly have no idea.

More headroom can lead to a cleaner, less compressed sound with greater variety due to the wider range of EQing you can do. At the same time, they're a bitch to power. I already have an 18v Blowtorch and a 24v Q-tron+, so I'd prefer to not have three pedals take up six power slots

I use a 18V adapter I got at radioshack.

Never noticed that- I always go back to the pedal footprint thread and look through that (where there's no info for the Bass-drive filled in). Thanks to you as well.

Biggest difference I could tell was a ton more headroom in CompCut mode. With a passive bass, I actually couldn't get very much clipping at all in this mode at 18v, where as with 9v I could definitely hear the 'cut' of the CompCut. Also, I felt I could more easily discern the differences between the MOSFET vs Standard mode and FM vs Vintage modes with 18 volts. The overdrive also seemed to have more effect (broader range between less and more) on the sound. I preferred 18v. Hope this helps
