Dist recommendation and Parametric EQ?

Fellows,

I'm looking for a more thrash metallish sound, and considering getting two new pedals:
* a dist with blend function and
* a better EQ to precisely sweep in the sound I want.
Anyone got any recommendations?
Is there any parametric sweep EQ pedal for bass?

A really good dist with blend function is MXR Bass DI and also the Blowtorch. Anyone got any ideas about those, and if I should look elsewhere?

(Right now I'm playing Gallien-Krueger 2001rb and Yamaha basses)

For the EQ, check out the Empress Para EQ. Gets a good amount of love around here.

Although there's no strict clean blend, there is a blend between independently set overdrive and distortion stages.
