I was messing about with Audacity and a Tascam US-122. I was playing my '70's spacing Jazz w/Lindy Fralin singles and broken in Dunlop nickel strings. Both pickups and tone are full on. I used a pedal and a little compression. This is straight into Audacity, with no equalization. What pedal do you think I used?
It's an improvised line, so forgive my playing. http://idesyns.com/sounds/crank1.mp3

I'll say this much to help. It's not one of the obscure pedals.
I don't use distortion, much. I think I like the sound of this clip. |

There is a whole lot of interaction within the knobs of the ODB-3 and I still am under the opinion that people don't give it that much of a chance before giving up.
I'm not saying that I'm certain it's an ODB-3, but that sound is possible from one.

It could probably be an ODB-3, but it isn't. I've gotten a sound close to this from that pedal before. I don't know why people beat up on that pedal, other than the name. They definitely used the wrong name.
