Seriously, I run a Boss pedal, it's 'okay' but not what I am looking for.
My tone is all bottom. and I want something that will be ugly enough, but just not jack my volume.
I guess distortion with some class? All tuned to a "G" on a 6-string. Any suggestions?? |

1) Have you tried any other pedals besides the Boss (and which Boss is it?)
2) Have you searched on the word "distortion" yet? (Hint: say yes, and mean it.)
3) Your descriptives are a bit hard to understand- your tone is "all bottom", but it needs to "have class" yet "be ugly", and yet not be just a volume boost? Those terms don't really tell us anything.
Here's what to do (besides searching): post some MP3 or Youtube links of the sound you're after, then tell us your maximum budget. That way we can actually make some meaningful recommendations. |

I had the Tech21 XXL, I do have the ODB3, which is passable live.
This is such a subjective topic.
I am going to check out the suggestions! |

| | | | you really should try the boss hm-2, from the 80s. Its an awesome pedal with tons of low end, I think it could fit in your band. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
