I have an Epi Jack Casady that I love to distort the crap out of! Feedback is always a problem with hollowbodies, so there is a lot of trial and error, which leads me to the point of starting this. I have found some pedals that you can distort hollowbodies with minus inherent feedback issues...hopefully this will help some who have wanted to do this and maybe some of you have some more to offer!
My list so far:
Malekko B:Assmaster
Proco Rat and Turbo Rat
MXR Bass DI+

Also back on topic I highly recommend the Tone Factor/Mojo Hand Mule or the Catalinbread Hyperpak they sound very similar are well priced and to me the best distortions available for bass regardless of hollow or not

Then you could use whatever kind of distortion you want and not have issues with feedback. I use a Boss NS-2 for the purpose of killing feedback and chopping off sustain that I don't want, and it works great. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
