DIY Bass distortion pedal kit?

Are there any out there. I have found plenty guitar ones but no bass specific ones. Any help?

There is no reason why a guitar distortion can't be used for bass. Plus, most of the BYOC dirt kits give you some options for different components that will help retain low end. The Overdrive 2 from and the Mouse from BYOC both have bass modes.

I use a Flipster and Thor from runoffgroove.com with my basses. Mine were prebuilt by olcircuits.com but they sell kits as well.

I’ve been thinking of getting the orange Peel and tweaking the values for bass.

I don’t see why any of the kits can’t be adjusted for bass use.

I have one of those too... I have rehearsal on tuesday, I'll make sure I record some with it.

It works well as is, but needs less gain for my tastes.
