I've net seen one, but given that most octave pedals don't track very well, any kit you buy will probably have the same issues.

I've only found octave up kits, no octave downs.

It sounds like the OP wants an octave down pedal, which I understand is a fairly complicated build. Most octave up fuzzes acheive that sound via clipping, correct? I believe the octave down is a very different process.

I just did a quik google and found this: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforu...?topic=76997.0

Edit: I read through the thread and you can built your own but it is really, really complicated and if you want it to be clean there will be chips involved (and you'll have to make your own pcb or use a breadboard and buy all the parts yourself). If your not an experienced DIY'er I would just buy one.

Yeah, sorry Octave Down. I have built a Green Ringer clone and have it on my board.
My amp has an octave effect, but I want one that has a bit more flexibility and one that I can move around in my chain. Nothing out on the market really strikes my fancy, except the EHX Octave Multiplexer and Im not so sure it tracks really well.

Have you looked at the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, EHX HOG, Boss PS-3/5, EHX POG?

You can use rectifiers
half wave for octave down,
full wave for octave up,
http://sound.westhost.com/appnotes/an001.htm
It will be very distorted - add low pass filtering to smooth it out.
