DIYers: alternative to Small Bear?

Sign in to disble this ad
What other Web site would you recommend for your pedal gear, as well as for the usual stuff (Caps, trimpots, pots, etc...)?

I did have a great direct contact with the owner and he knows pedal design.

But I find Small Bear to be a bit pricey and also his Web site slows down as you add parts to your shopping cart to the point where it is ridiculously slow.

Thanks!

I just used Mouser last week to order some transistors that smallbear didn't have, and found their prices good, and the shipping was lightning fast.

Just a little price analysis on a pedal specific item, in this case a 3PDT foot switch:

Phonekings.com: $5.69

tubesandmore.com: $6.95

pedalpartsplus.com: $3.80

smallbearelec.com: $9.00

Mouse, digikey, newark: no such item or way overpriced.

Note I could also look at the price of specific caps or for a good assortment of resistors, pots, etc...
