Do PT Mini cases mess with pedal settings?

As the title asks...does the soft case of the PT mini mess with your pedal settings (knobs, sliders) when in transit? Seems like it would be a bother to have to reset your settings with every use.

Eh, I have no problem getting my settings back, I like to know the capabilities inside and out, but that's besides the point.

Some pedals do, some don't, depends on knob situation. But the short answer is yes. But only sometimes

I'd say that yes it does mess with your settings. I've had a few situations where the knob was set at 7:00 and after transit it was moved to 5:00 (opposite ends of the knob if you're not used to the o'clock descriptors).

However, the plus side of the PT-Mini is the fact that it really doesn't carry that many full-size pedals (although I've seen some people cram a TON of mini effects on there). The reason that this is a plus is that there really isn't that much to reset once you bring the board back out again. Personally, I usually re-check my settings before every set anyways. You never know when the acoustics in a room call for different EQ settings, or if the sound guy has decided to boost or cut something.

If you're looking to keep your settings in a semi-permanent way, I've heard that some people wrap a rubber band around the pot post right under the knob to keep it from turning.

Well that answers it; thanks! It's certainly not a deal breaker, but it would have been cool if PT magically solved the issue of the pedalboard soft case (I used the EHX in the past and it was notorious for this).

Yes...my PT mini does mess with the knobs a bit at times....but I always go over my board (during sound check or before the gig) and make sure everything is plugged in and set where it should be...

Note I currently have a Hardwire chorus on the PT mini that has this cool little rubber doo-hicky that sits over the knobs and keeps them from moving around...

My PT-JR with the HC occassionally messes with the knobs, but not always. It depends what's happened in transit and whether the board has moved ever so slightly against those foam spikes. But most of the time it's fine. I still check every time just to be sure.

Hardwire (Digitech) makes those rubber covers for the knobs of their pedals so they don't get moved around, too bad every pedal doesn't come with one huh?
