I'm curious as to when you use delays. For me, the only time I use delays is when I play "One of These Days."

| | | | I'll use it for kinda an ominous buildup, but really, delay doesn't strike me as something anyone would use all the time.

In a band context, I use it when most of the other instruments are taking a break.

| | | | I use it every now and then. I really need to have a proper sit down session focusing on just it and some cool combos I can come up with.

Two of those it's on 100% of the time and the other song is use it about 25% of the time. I also use delay a lot when I jam with friends and it's only two or three people jamming. It helps fill in the sound. I use delay in my band to make my bass sound to have much more sustain than what it really has. I turn in the feedback knob set to 1 or two repeats and the mix knob level to my signal. It works quite well and makes my bass sound very big.

good, fun stuff.
but yeah, i only use it when i have a bit of space in a song. |

I've got a Boss DD-6 on my board right now and I occasionally use reverse delay with synthy/sub-bass lines and warp mode (ramps the feedback when you hold the switch) for builds. |

Castevet I used it on like 4 tracks on summer fences...and I was going to use it on Echo and the Light but I condensed my board down and I didn't miss it too much so it stayed off.
But yeah, delay and fuzz are my favorite effects. |

| | | | Its so hard for me to tap tempo halfway thru a song and get it right in one take....
Its more practical for me to use it in a solo situation |

| | | | i use it all the time. my M9 is set with three reverbs and three delays. i like using the three delays together and playing long notes to create what i call the seismic wave of bass.
