Does Anybody Here Own This Pedal?...If So, Would You Say It Has a Sound Similar To The Digitech Bass Driver.

I believe I owned a DOD Bass Overdrive years ago... from what I remember it does not sound like the Digitech Bass Driver.

My daughter uses one, and she definitely prefers its sound over the Digitech. But then she has almost no highs coming out of her Magnum IV, then further cuts the top end on the amp - so if you put more high end into it, your results may be different. She likes a very fat and mellow bass sound.

Does The Pedal Have a Grind Sound On The High-Gain Setting Or Is It More like An Overdriven Fuzz Sound.

To me, it's more of a fuzz, but it didn't seem to lose much in the way of definition. Just made the sound thicker.

No problem. I listened to that overdrive a lot - I have dozens of recordings of her playing in the band, and can pretty much call it up from memory.

She did not go for the bright fuzz sound at all, so I suspect it would have sounded a lot different if she'd kept the high end flat on her Magnum IV. She took all the highs out, then cranked the treble down on her Ampeg as well; combined with the DOD, it gave a very powerful, deep but surprisingly distinct sound out of the amp (don't remember the model). It meshed well with the guitarist's very bright Telecaster tone.
