DOD FX-72 power supply question

Sign in to disble this ad
So I just bought bassteban's FX-72 and should get it either the end of next week and early next week and I have a question.

I have a OneSpot daisy chain and was wondering if the 1/8" jack adapter will give enough power to the DOD, since I know they use the old 10V wall warts and the OneSpot gives out 9V.

Well, you can power it off of a single 9V battery, so I don't see why a 9V adapter wouldn't work. I can try it out tonight and let you know. I just gotta dig my 1/8" adapter out of wherever the hell its hiding.

Mine works great with a 1-spot.

9V will work; on the older FX25's I found the extra 1V from the stock 10VDC supply did make an audible improvement (a touch less distortion and noise), but I'm not sure it was audible enough to be worth the hassle if you want everything on the daisy chain for convenience.
