DOD FX 91 Bass Overdrive

I was given a box of dead pedals and this was one that I brought back to life. The battery clip had been yanked out. Once I replaced it, it was good to go. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. Does anyone have experience with this pedal. Yeah, it's a DOD but the price was right!

DOD actually built some really cool pedals. I've bought several over the last few years and they proven to be real keepers.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to play around with the Bass Overdrive. But I am curious to hear about it.

How can I bite my tongue when it's in my cheek?
I'll give the pedal a go and report back.

I tried it out today. It's very Tube Screamer-ish. I play a P-Bass with flats, so it didn't really add a lot to my sound. I tried a bunch of O/D pedals with bass today. My favorite was the MXR Distortion + as it had some grit to it. It's more of a fuzz and that's the sound I really want. I'm going to take the DOD pedal to the bass player in my band and let him mess with it for a while and tell me what he thinks. He's a real bass player, I'm just a basic player.

Overdrive/distortion/fuzz comes in so many flavors. Some really hit the mark and some miss it all together. I seem to find the best ones don't cut the bass frequencies or they have a blend.
