DOD FX25B Dub settings.

So gentlemen. I am curious what your settings are to get the dubby bass you talk of. I can get an awesome quack and envelop sweep, but I am curious to what the "dub" sound from this box is.

You turn the sensitivity all the way down. It's an old Bill Laswell trick. The filter clamps down on the highs and the sound is low and resonant.

I've always used an FX25 for this so it didn't have a blend but you can blend to taste with the FX25B. Personally I wasn't impressed with the blend on that pedal which is why I've used a Xotic or Barge in the past when I did want to let a bit of dry signal through.

The range doesn't matter. If the sensitivity is rolled all the way back, the filter won't open and that control has no effect.

The other thing you can do is roll the sensitivity back but just to the point where normal playing doesn't come close to opening the filter and really digging in gives that big pulse in the lows but doesn't open the filter all the way. You'll likely want a limiter/compressor but it can be a cool sound too.
