Sign in to disble this ad
ive never really modified a pedal but i heard about it recently, and wanted to give it a try. i have this DOD fx86 death metal distortion pedal that someone gave me, it provides me with nothing but a distortion i dont enjoy. i was wondering if anyone knew of anything i might could do so that i may get more use out of it?

Generally speaking you can try swapping in different clipping diodes, or try different resistor values in series with the diodes, or try different resistor and capacitor values around any tone controls. And you can put in a blue LED.

Go over to diystompboxes.com and read their forum and articles. They not only have good instructional material, they also had some good beginner projects.
