Does anyone know how to get this exodus bass sound

I really want to find out how to get this Metalic twangy sound
on the intro to this awesome track by Exodus

I'm guessing it was roundwounds set up with low action for some fret clanging. Probably also some drive/dirt from a miked driven/dirty amp.

One cool trick for something similar is to use a cheap digital delay and set the repeat-speed extremely fast. If the delay also has modulation then you can get a flanging effect.

That what you just listed is my exact set up and its still not as smooth and metallic sounding as that

So try the delay trick. It's fun! And again, it can be a cheap delay, doesn't have to be anything fancy, as long as you can select a very fast repeat time.

I got a bass pod xtlive but am not one for spending hours in front of a computer tweaking sounds on the thing So its on Ebay and im just gonna get the effects i want but ill try that before it goes lol
