Does anyone used a Rangemaster-based Treble Booster on bass?

Something like the the Analog Man Beano Boost or Keeley Java Boost.

I have done it! It sounds like your amp is going to explode! Seriously I couldn't keep the pedal on because I really felt like I was going to blow up my amp!

Alright there's one to cross off the list, thanks Mark.

It's a very cool sound but I couldn't see myself using it all the time. But it would be a great sound to use while smashing your gear onstage!

Sounds gnarly. Most of what I remember about trying the treble booster on bass was that it was LOUD.

There's a bass sample on Analog.Man's site using their Beano Boost. I think it sounds awesome.

EDIT: Oops. Never mind.

I use an old Z Vex Super Hard On for some boost during solos...of course it's driving a tube preamp...it's nice and transparent sounding fattens up the tone a bit and I haven't had to change the battery in over a year despite fairly regular use...

A clean booster like the Z. Vex Super Hard On is not the same as a treble booster, which is actually an old type of overdrive.

I've always wanted an HBE Germania to use with guitar if I ever felt like learning how to play it and I had some extra cash after some recent eBay sales so I went ahead and ordered one. I'll give it a go on bass when I get it.

Cool, I was looking at that one. The Bajo Mos looks cool too, it doesn't seem like anyone has one.

Yeah, I just noticed that Bajo Mos on their website. If I wasn't already satisfied with my clean boost I'd definitely look into that one. I liked the boost on their Hematoma, it added a certain color to the sound. I use a clean boost a lot to boost solos and fills.
