Does my perfect/dream wah exist?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for a wah with the following

1. A sweep like a tel ray morley
2. Switchless activation
3. True bypass
4. High gain fuzz/distortion friendly
5. Powered by pedal power

Does such a wah pedal exist ?

Aside from number one, for which I have no frame of reference, the G Lab Bass Wowee fits. Pressure-activated, true bypass, standard Boss-style power adapter (runs off a Pedal Power just fine), and plays quite nicely with dirt.

I'll think about doing a clip or two, then. Just understand that I am incredibly lazy.

I hope you find something that piques your interest for oh say $50 and you can start a thread about how great you hope it is while you wait for it in the mail, and I hope you call said thread "$50 mystery pedal" and I hope it is as epic as your other thread! Cheers.

Still own the "$50 mystery bass" and its still unplayable and only for decoration and story time and no need for clips if you don't want I don't think the wah will fit the bill like my tel ray. Going to have to make sacrifice.

No, it does not. That's why I modded mine and now have everything on your list, except pedal (I assume you mean 9v boss style adapter) power. I think part of the reason the PWB can do the things it does is because of the power available. I don't see it as a HUGE disadvantage, but it is a bit inconvenient, I agree.

Here's the link to my mod: Morley Vintage (Chrome) Power Wah Boost Mods...

Basically it's a true bypass loop built into the pedal. The switch on the top is a momentary switch, so the wah is only in the signal chain when my foot's on it (so it's not technically 'switchless', but in practice it works the same - foot on=wah on, foot off=wah off)

Not trying to talk you into anything, just saying that you'll need to break a few eggs if you want to make that omlet...
