Does the new EBS Octabass really track better?

I'm still looking for the perfect octaver. Please don't suggest the Micro POG, I tried one and the tone just didn't do it for me. I loved the tone of my old Octabass, but I sold it because I wasn't happy with the tracking. The 2008 models are advertised to have better tracking. Can anyone tell me if this is true?

I think the best stomp box Octaver is the old Boss OC-2 (made in Japan, not Taiwan)

How is it that old pedals are better at tracking? Surely, that is something that should improve with technology etc etc...

The OC-2 isn't that great at tracking imo. I had one. I also had the EBS Octabass and that really tracks better. What makes the OC-2 stand out is how nasty it makes your sound... really thick and fat. If you're after smooth clean signal the OC-2 isn't your thing.
