I was thinking something like a filter pedal that would also have like a "wave" similar to what flanger or phaser pedals do. But unlike flanger pedals, I want this "wave" to start every time I hit the string. I was thinking that maybe pigtronix envelope phaser can do something similar, but I didn't find any samples with long single notes that would demonstrate that so far. Any suggestions? Thanks!

OP, the "wave" you're talking about -- the sweep in modulation pedals -- is done with a low frequency oscillator (LFO). I suspect that the Copilot FX Telescope and Iron Ether Bubble Chamber (in pitch-tracking LFO mode) may both do what you want (reset the LFO when a new note is played), but I can't confirm it and neither is out yet. Also, they're both resonant filters, not modulation pedals.
No idea if the Eventide Modfactor can do it. I checked out the manual and it does have envelope controlled LFO rates, but I don't know for sure if they restart completely when you play a new note.

There may be others, I just don't know about them.
Good luck.

| | | | moogerfrooger low pass filter with the a patch cable from the envelope filter to one of the other dingles, not really a wave but if you have an expression pedal hooked up to it. also look up the new ibanez pedal made for paul gilbert. Its omazing. |

| | | | I'd like to find a pedal like this, too. All of the envelope phasers I've tried only sweep once in envelope mode, like an envelope filter. IS there a modulation pedal that will continuously sweep when you hold a note or chord, but will go back to the starting point of the sweep every time you hit a new note or chord?

Like this one maybe? |
