Just a harmless (I hope) question, for all you effects enthusiasts.
This is not related to anything, just something that popped up into my mind a while back.
If one were so inclined, and had two wah pedals, a chair, and ample time, could they connect two wah pedals directly next to each other in the signal chain, and then procede to operate the wah pedals alternatively, much like a doublekick pedal on a drum kit?
Surely someone has tried, or will try this after reading.
Would this produce some sort of crazy, far off sound?
Or would it just be redundant?
Am I just wasting your time?
I don't use effects, so try not to rip me to shreds when you reply with the obvious answer.
Cheers.

"Doublekick" wahs is a pretty cool idea I just don't have enough money to warrant a novelty like that. I can't think of any practical uses in a band situation. It's not for me anyway

Wouldnt you essentially be "wah-ing another wah"?

Now if you go parallel it's much more interesting. 2 filters going opposite ways.
Several multi-effects offer this stuff, such as the Korg AX-3000B or the Roland V-Bass.
The Line6 Otto Filter has a mode that does just that but based on dynamics rather than pedal movement. |

but you leave one on and move the other, or move them at different speeds, one up-one down, sweep them opposite each other.. theres crazy noise.

I set the whammy for an octave up pitch shift and use both pedals at the same time. Now that is some fun. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
