Question Down and dirty pedal board?

Sign in to disble this ad
If you wanted to make up a quick pedal board using ONLY two pedals, what would you choose and why?

Just thinking of tossing something together.

Thanks

Programmable Sansamp and tuner.

Why? I'd get any tone I'd "need" and be able to tune. End of story. If you wanted to get fancy, you could get that E.Q./Tuner pedal for some extra versatility.

distortion and flanger. I had to play a show a few years ago that I was supposed to use overdrive, distortion, flanger, and chorus at, but forgot my adapter and only had 2 batteries. I just tuned off of my keyboardist, and turned the distortion down for the song I needed OD on and turned the flanger speed all the way up for the stuff that needed chorus.

If I wanted to make up a quick board using only 2 pedals...I'd get a multi unit to simplify it down to 1!

I guess it depends on what you use the most, for me that would probably be MXR Bass Blowtorch & a Whammy IV (which is technically a multi).

I've thought about it quite a bit and today I think it would be a Polish Love and the Stereo Electric Mistress. Tomorrow it may be my Hjärt Müller and the Psilocybe....

Chorus and distortion.

In other words an Analog.man Clone Chorus and any one of the 29382593uio24 dirt boxes I've come to know and love in my day. Probably a Fulltone Bass-Drive due to the versatility of it all.

I think it would be.... Damn.

I really don't know. I don't think I can go without three boxes, me thinks. Some kind of dual Drive (Bass Drive, Hematoma, GT-500, BB+), which usually aren't my bag, but I'd need two gain settings, one for overdrive/boost, and one at least to the high gain distortion, if not the fuzz area. Then a large delay, preferably the Evantide TimeFactor. But even then, I'd really want some kind of Whammy on there...

Mine would consist of a Tonefactor 442 and a Tonefactor Huckleberry or other equally awesome fuzz. If I was strictly limited to 2 pedals I would skip the tuner and just make sure to tune up before I played.

for me it would be the MXR blowtorch, and whatever my favorite modulation is at the time
