Question Downsizing - recommend me a board

Sign in to disble this ad
So, I'm thinking of downsizing a bit, and keep just the essentials that I actually use.

The following are going to stay, no matter what:

malekko b:assmaster
mxr blowtorch

The following fx areas I need as well, but the specific pedals might be replaced with better or smaller versions, if need be:

octave (currently ehx micro pog)
chorus (currently CE-5)
Wah (currently ibanez weeping demon)

What board would you suggest to fit these units?

Do you have a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power or something comparable or would you need a powered pedalboard?

PT Jr and a Voodoo Labs power supply. Neat, compact, and ready to rock.

A Pedaltrain Jr should be suffice. you can mount a PP2+ underneath for power.

I vote make your own! Fun and costs you very little money. But if you don't have time of you don't feel like it, then a PT Jr., as suggested earlier, would prolly work

Much as I love the Mini, fitting any wah there would be a challenge (let alone the huge Weeping Demon). A Junior would be a better choice in this case.

That sure looks promising and tempting, allthough it does perhaps look a bit large for a downsizing operation (My current board is an NYC pedalboards PedalHead.)

I wonder if I could fit it all on a jr, though...

PT-JR. I'm pretty sure they will all fit. Cut some newspaper to the right dimensions and try it out.

D'oh! Forgot about that one, a tuner is essential. I currently use a Boss TU-2.

i know a lot of people have had bad experiences, but i swear by my CNB small board from rondomusic. ive had mine for like 5 years, used to tour most of the year with it. i think its like 30 bucks. right now mine is holding a tu-2, wah, mxr m-80, boss chorus, behringer delay, and digitech bsw. could fit another pedal above my tuner with the right cables.
