Dream 2 in 1 pedal?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been getting the pedal building bug lately and I'm thinking that I'd like to build a Build Your Own Clone OD2 (808 clone with a boost section) and Envelope in the same box.

Any thoughts on what you'd like to have or already have?

btw, I have a bass balls, which I can't do much with that works with a band. I wish it had separate distortion and wah... you can do a separate wah, but it kinda sucks out a lot of the bass.

Pretty much the Roland Jet Phaser, I guess. Except I'd like a Maestro Stage Phaser combined with my perfect fuzz (haven't found it yet). I'd also like a blend in it, and maybe a momentary switch to make the phaser go crazy fast and sound like a laser gun.

hey deepestend, the thing about the bassballs with a band, is that it can help you find a place in the spectrum for your tone. don't try to stand out with it.

As far as a '2 in one' pedal, I already have a 3 in one with my OFO...so that's my dirt...

...and I already have a delay/loop (even though it's not very awesome)...

...and I already have a phaser/envelope filter/phase wah/phase filter (ep-1)...but to have 2 effects going on simultaneously?

hmm...

I'd say RingMod/Flanger.

I've had the bassballs for a few years now and I feel like it sucks a lot of the bottom end out of my tone when I use it and therefore I feel like I just kind of drop out a little bit. It's great for "hey look at me" parts, but not as good for just holding down the bottom end with a little squelch.

How about compression and overdrive with an expression pedal blend between them? Or a pedal with seperate switches for up and down octaves and an expression blend for fuzz.

Yeah.

I've found I don't care for fuzz (prefer distortion), and I don't like any modulation, except phased dirt, and nothing does it better than the Jet Phaser. And that's in the Bible!

MXR Blue Box into an Octavia clone. I'd want three separate clean blends: one for each fuzz and one for both on. Oh, and an effect loop in-between the fuzzes with a feedback loop.

IMO the best already existing two-in-one combo has got to be the pitch-shifter/delay. I have a PitchFactor and a PS-3 and they're both great fun.

graphic eq + nice compressor (no low end sucking)

that would be a great pedal, if it´s small and has true bypass will be marvellous. tone shaper, ready for anything.

i would like a good sounding all in one modulation pedal that allows you to switch between or blend any type of mod.
flanger/chorus/phaser/rotary/trem/etc.

I want a fuzz+Phaser, think ultra jet phaser.

The order would be switchable, series fuzz first, series phase first, or effects in parallel.
Blend knob for original signal. Controls for fuzz, tone, depth, and switchable levels of phase. Throw in reverse phase for good measure.
If you wanted to get crazy you could make it envelope controlled amounts of phase and fuzz.

That's the only thing that I wish the ModFactor could do that it doesn't.

I REALLY love my Holy Stain which is "kida" 2 in 1. The one side is a choice between Room/Hall Reverb, Tremolo, and Pitch Shift. The other side it dirt with warm, bright and dark options for both fuzz and OD.

I'm a delay whore though... so my dream 2 in 1 would be something like 2 seperate delays in one box... though i'm fine with multiple delay boxes on my board for now, especially with the GAS pains for a Memory Boy already hitting quite hard. An Octave/OD 2 in 1 might be kinda fun....

I actually built a dream 2 in 1 pedal, my dual boost that has Cream Pie and Hog's Foot/Mole circuits.
