(clips are set dirtier than I actually use it.) |

What you're looking for is a pedal that can produce a mild overdrive. Problem is... I still have no idea what you want that to sound like.
Can you describe what you're looking for or provide a soundclip?

So saying you're not satisfied with "overdrive" because it's "too overdriven" doesn't quite make sense. I'm guessing you meant that you have a pedal which has the word "overdrive" written on it, and it sounds too distorted for you. I'm guessing a Boss ODB3? Anyway, there are loads of drive pedals out there with every possible degree of dirt/saturation/grit/growl/fattening or whatever other "drive" tone you might hope for. If you can post a very specific MP3 or Youtube link to the sound you want, we can name off some options. Also state your budget. |

However, it might be a touch out of your price range as it's more "Flipster"-range (nice clips, James! ) than a Boss/DigiTech/stompbox. ($200 new, around $150 used.)
If it's simply a clean boost you might want to look at a cheap EQ to set flat and boost the gain that way. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
