Drum Machine Accessories?

For anyone that's ever used a drum machine, do they make any type of pedal or effects you can run your machine through to enhance the sound at all?

You use the same pedals as you would with guitar or bass. Distortion and flanger are especially awesome on drum machine.

I know this may sound obvious, but whatever works for a bass signal will do the same thing for a drum signal. The only thing I've ever run a drum machine signal through is a hard limiter(software) and a Bass Micro Synth. The hard limiter did give the track a bunch more punch and the Bass Micro Synth made it sound like a Transformer transforming (kind of).

I'm guessing for a simple and generic 'enhance' a chorus may help as well. Collect and try them all.

Always start with EQ and compression.
Get it sounding nice and full before adding any modulation (flanger, chorus, etc) or distortion type effects...
