why can I not find a drum machine(Alesis SR 18 ) stand? I googled and everything seems to be for mixers and are way too big.Has anyone here got one or made one? I also have a small Beringer mixer I would love to have on a stand.

You know what's fine for that purpose is they make mic-stand attachments for sheet music or lyrics pages. Just get one of those and a mic stand. Also look at a small percussion table.

Small laptop stands work well too.

Mic stand with Raxxess accessory riser on top of it. Secured with the lower part of mic holder as the screw on part for mic stands pole. I use them for drum machines, harddisk recorder, kaos pad 3, most of my lasers, etc. On the raxxes accer riser I use velcro on its top. And velcro in appropriate area under device. For easy set up and takedown. For my heavy laser I also ductaped it to the raxxess acces riser since it weighs about 11 pounds.

I got my accer risers from zzounds http://www.zzounds.com/item--RAXAR5 In the new pic there useing for it its not attached to a mic stand. See the hole in lower plate of the raxar5? Mic stand pole top fits in it then lower part of microphone holder screws onto the mic sgtand securing raxxess.
