Dual Channal DI w/EQ??

Sign in to disble this ad
Are there any DI boxes with two inputs you can blend into one XLR out with each channel having it own EQ. Basically I want a Sansamp para driver with two inputs that I can blend both signals a single XLR output.

I am not sure something like this exists in a pedal format.

What you describe it essentialy a mixer.

What kind of EQ do you have in mind?

The Radial BassBone is pretty close to what you are describing.

I may be wrong but I don't think the BassBone has eq on both inputs.

I completely forgot the EBS MicroBass II. The eq type is different for the two channels but it might be ok for rnilson.

+1 Channel 1 can be setup flat or with two shape options. Shape 1 is somewhat modern sounding, but not extreme. It boost lows and low-mids a touch, cuts mids around 600 hz, and boosts top end ever so slightly. It's a very useable scoop sound.

Shape 2 is very SVT'ish, minus the overdrive which you'd have to add with another pedal. It boosts lows at a much lower frequency point than shape two, cuts mids at a different point, and boost a lot of grindy upper frequency response. It's also a quite useable contour setting. I typically hate preset contour controls, but the Bassbone settings are very musical. The second channel can be sculpted more to get the sound you are after.

In all honesty though, if you are after MAJOR EQ changes, then the Bassbone won't do it unless you really like the frequency settings it uses with your particular bass. IMHO, the Bassbone shines with players who like the flat, natural tone of their instruments already, but just want the ability to alter their voicing slightly for different applications.

There's plenty of these. We call 'em mixers ...

I'm also a fan of the BassBone. Totally not sexy, incredibly useful device ...

EBS Microbass II was my first thought as well. But sometimes I do wonder why more people don't resort to a small 4-8 track mixer- myself included!

I'm not a huge fan of them but it sounds like the OP would be happy with the SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe. Its basically the Programmable Bass Driver but with two inputs and an effects loop.

That Solstice does seem to be a perfect solution. I may have to get one of those. Otherwise, I was going to suggest that DHA can almost certainly make you something that will suit your needs.
