Dunlop 105Q Mods

I love this pedal and i've had it on my pedalboard forever, I feel that there is a LOT of mod potential with these pedals. Does anyone know of some possible mods for these?

True bypass w/status LED is all I can think of.

Given the fact that everything on this pedal is CMS componet It'll be quite difficult for the sunday solderer to do some mods on this one... BUT, It might be possible to use the switch thats on the toe to commend a relay for true bypass, a led isn't necessary to me as the pedal would be off when toe is up!

Oh, I was hoping for some sort of mod that would allow me to cock it and add a switch.. but i'm probably off buying a different wah then?

I've done the mod recently. It's really very simple and definitely worth doing.

You could probably (theoretically) house the 105Q's circuit board in a standard Crybaby, but you'd have to mod it to fit the Volume and Q controls.

There's no need! The 105 housing has the hole at the toe end for a true bypass switch already. You can remove the spring that it doesn't go to heel-down position when you take your foot off.

My next step is to add the status LED then figure out a way to make the wah stay where I leave it when I take my foot off. It drops down to toe-down position at the moment without the spring.

I'll keep you all updated as I sort the LED and other problem. It'll be a sweet pedal once it's all done!!

I put a link to the other recent 105Q thread in my last post. I've posted a rugged drawing kinda outlining what I did. Real pics will come eventually. Apologies for how bad the explanation is.
