Dunlop Bass Crybaby mods

Does anyone know what cap or resistor I would need to replace to increase the output of this thing? Also, what value?

I'll gladly hear any further suggestions on mod ideas, but I pretty well like the pedal as is, all except for the volume drop when engaged!

Is it a 105Q? You could always turn the volume on the side of the wah up.

yeah, its the 105Q. I've messed with the knobs, ad nauseum, to no avail. I know this pedal present its own special set of issues when trying to mod, because of the way it engages when you put weight on it, instead of a switch.

I know there are mods out there...

Don't mod it, send it in for repair. If your volume knob has no effect, then it's broken. My 105Q can go WAY past unity gain with the volume cranked.

You're going to laugh at me, but it never crossed my mind that the volume knob could be broken. I'll check that out today!

That's what I was going to suggest but looks like someone beat me to it. Good luck.

I have this pedal, and as jbybj commented, IME/IMO the volume dial has plenty of gain.

So did that solve the issue, or..?

Yes, it did. We practices last night to get everything ironed out before we go on tour tomorrow & it worked like a charm. Almost too well, as I had to dial it back a bit from being dimed because it did push a little gain at max.

Thanks TB

^ Right on!

There are a couple other decent bass wah pedals out there, but for the money and for a pedal that can stand up to active gigging, the 105Q rocks.
