Dunlop DC Brick right angle connectors?

Sign in to disble this ad
hey there all.

i have a Dunlop DC Brick powering a PT Mini. works very well. problem is that the only way i could fit it in there the plugs that go from the brick to each pedal are pointing straight up. and they stick out enough that i'm a little afraid of closing the soft case on it with them plugged in.

i emailed Dunlop and they said they don't make any right angle connectors for the 9 volt section of the Brick. does anybody know of an alternative? i guess i could jusy make a little shipping foam covet for the plugs, but i'd rather replace them with cables that would not get bent.

right nkw it's using 3.5 straight mini plugs on the Brick side to the standard "Boss Style" right angle connectors on the pedal side.

any suggestions?

thanks!

On the DC side, aren't they just 1/8" jacks? You could buy some right angles, strip theirs off, and put the right angles on.

EDIT: Yes, you already said they were 3.5s.

need money - the problem is that they're side specific. the Brick has 3.5 input jacks.

funk metal BASS - yahp. 3.5. i don't know a lot about how power is sent down cables tho. are audio 3.5's gonna be the same connectors inside where it gets soldered? i don't mind doing a nights worth of soldering, i was just hoping there was an easy purchable fix.

Cheap Bass Lovin - yah.... i have loads of One Spot connectors laying around. they won't hook up without as much finagling as just building some new ones would be.

guess i'm off to the geeky electrical store.

thanks all!

Yep, it's the same connector. The tip of the 1/8" phono plug should be positive, and the sleeve is negative. As for the barrel end, the sleeve is positive and the inside is negative.

But if you want to make things easier...

http://www.stompin-ground.com/products/sgcablepp2.htm

Look down to where it says 3.5mm (1/8") Mini-plug, Right Angle. You should be able to use that cable in reverse on your DC Brick without issues. After all, the tip is positive, and the barrel end is your standard 2.1mm Boss-style type.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... but that should work just fine.
