Question Dunlop GCB-95 Mods?

I have an Original Cry Baby and was wondering if there's a mod to get it to 'see' the lower bass freqs?

It works well on the upper notes/octaves - but the LOWs are either missing or scooped.

Yes there are. Search online. Lots of info. Switch 1 cap. I have one that I picked up for $10 because it wasn't working. About to tear into it myself...

I've been there - to prolly all the hacks for this pedal.

Here's one of the best of them:::

Here's the one place where I bet you are going to change a cap:::

However - none of them state they can be used for a bass guitar.

You can pump the bass up and move the transition to a slightly lower place, but frankly, I don't see where it makes the unit RESPOND to E-strings or low notes.

That whole area on the Wah is very weak in rendering bass notes and I don't mind swapping the HIGHs out of it if the response envelope could be sent to Bassland.

So far - I don't see that statement made.

It's the sweep cap. Dif values shift lower or higher center freq. So yes, you will reduce treb as you increase bass. I think you want around .068uf

OK - I'll try that.

The original site says to replace the original Sweep Cap (.01uF) for one of .022uF.

I've got a couple of .047uFs and a few .01uF caps, and with the tolerances being + or - and generally all over the place with them, I will give them each a try.

Parallel capacitance formulas coming up.
